The whole procedure to asign the pads on midi notes needs way more work. Asigning pads to a slave device is a pain and although I have tried to save the settings I end up having to reprogram everything. Basic stuff I know but I’m sure it will help someone. The note repeat sustain can throw you off as it stays on until you turn it off (easily done) this can lead to the perception of lag as you jump to a different sam ple. Although you must adjust the sensors to your liking. Akai (unlike other companies) does respond to user feedback. There are some new features which seem a bit unpolished and can be extremely frustrating but some updates based on user feedback should clear those things up. There are many changes to the workflow and a quick read through the MPC Bible will guide you to the new way of doing things. If you know MPC’s then you will quickly navigate through the basics.
Coming from the MPC 5K which is an amazing MPC (after the update) I craved for something with a little more ease of use and some futuristic features.
